Details:
We were camping at Dead Horse Point, Utah. Being so late in the year (end of October), we were unsure if these were really noclilucent clouds. Nevertheless, they were quite striking...especially the primary cloud that displayed the reds, greens as well as the iridescent blues. There were multiple filaments of blues continuing across a the setting sun's arc of sky. Native Americans had a saying about brilliant sunset colors being the sun's way of helping us remember it until the next day. Watching this bonus 5 minute display, punctuating the sunset....well,the images certainly stayed with us until sunrise. Being without a camera, an IPhone 5 was the only means to capture the scene.
