Details:
The Noctilucent clouds were predicted to be in the western skies and the prediction did not dissapoint. The NLC's appeared much earlier than previous nights this year and far more South. This image was taken from TWP 724 at a place called "Twisty Ponds". The unusual blue colour can be attributed to the "Blue Hour", that period of twilight early in the dawn each morning and late dusk each evening when the sun is at a significant distance below the horizon and the residual, indirect sunlight takes on a predominantly blue hue.
