Tuesday night July 19th I walked outside to let my dog out to, well you know. I looked over and saw this Heat Lightning Storm just going at it. I ran inside grabbed my Canon 70D and tripod and was expecting to have missed it. To my surprise it just stayed in the same place for over an hour or more. Uncharacteristic of what I have seen in the past. I took many images over an hour during this event. In this composite I used layer masks in Photoshop to construct the best of during this event. Something I could not have done during my film days. Although a cool shot sometimes I miss the simplicity of Film Photography. Image: Canon 70D, 30sec. exposures, 10 or more images, processed using PS, and Topaz filter.
