The always lovely waning crescent Moon of summer , rising in conjunction with planet Venus this morning, seen from downtown Cody Wyoming at 5 AM. Shot with a Nikon DSLR and Sigma 18-250mm zoom at 105mm actual / 160mm equivalent 35mm focal length. ISO 500 at f/8 for 2.5 secs, Daylight color balance.

Great to see one of the pioneers of land/skyscape photography in action! Beautiful colors!! I watched this pair rise into the just-beginning twilight yesterday morning - what a satisfying sight it was!
