Details:
The Sun looked spectacular today with many large sunspot groups spread right across its surface, through the solar telescope the Ha view was just stunning. Sunspot AR 2106 has a complex set of filaments that completely surrounds the sunspot and the pattern looks like a little baby elephant :-) Images taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope and Canon 7D camera with a 2x Barlow lens attached. Images were also stacked in Registax6 and processed in PS. The black and white image is a composite where I took one overexposed image to capture the ejecting prominences on the limb.
