Details:
Another movie showing the tumbling motion of the rocket upper stage that launched the Egyptsat 2 satellite into orbit in April. It is an impressive sight in binoculars as it flashes around 1 time per second. These high-res images show the actual motion of the rocket and are taken in the secondary focus of a 10 inch Newtonian reflector and a new HR-monochromatic camera in testphase. We see a slight double image which is caused by an atmospheric seeing effect, and an indication that the resolution of the images is diffraction-limited and it demonstrates the small angular size of the object.
