Details:
Here is an image showing the motion of dwarf planet Ceres and minor planet Vesta over six consecutive evenings from June 25th to June 30th. The two objects are converging in the evening sky, and will be at their closest (10 arc-minutes) in a few days time. There's also a couple of animations of this movement here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenmudge/14355482020/sizes/o/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/stephenmudge/14540447354/sizes/o/ Each frame of the animation is a stack of 10x2 sec exposures with a tripod-mounted Canon 50D camera and Tamron 90mm macro lens at f/2.8 and 1600 iso.
