Details:
There was airglow everywhere, in all of my pictures. At first I thought it ruined them, but now I find it fascinating. The airglow seemed to be in streamers running east-west. The best view of airglow shows it radiating out from the East. In the North and Northeast you can see light pollution from natural gas flaring in the Bakken oil fields. Pictures were taken with a Sony NEX-6 and Rokinon 12mm F2 at ISO 3600, 30 second exposures. Minor adjustments made to levels and saturation to show the airglow.
