Details:
The International Space Station (ISS) made a transit in front of the solar disc for my location near 18:15:29 CEST (16:15:29 UTC), 23 June 2014. The centreline of this transit was only 600 yards north of me. The sun was relatively low in the sky, at 32 degrees elevation due West. The image is a composite of 9 images taken with a Celestron C6 (6" SC) fitted with a Solar Screen filter, F/6.3 focal reducer and a Canon EOS 60D camera in 'rapid burst' (about 5.7 images/second). The inset is a stack of the 5 best ISS silhouets from the image series. The whole transit took about 1.5 seconds.
