Details:
From early in the evening there was a suggestion that an NLC display was likely. There were wispy cirrus-like clouds visible in the northern sky around midnight. There followed a fine NLC display which lasted a number of hours visible from right across Northern Ireland. These pictures were taken around 3am.

Stunning, thanks for sharing. Also thanks for leaving the pictures high res. I have seen many a beautiful picture ruined because the photographer shrunk it down way too much.
