Details:
All this week the Sun has had a huge amount of activity on its solar limb; it’s been very interesting and exciting watching all the different shapes of the prominences as they leap away from the Suns surface.
Sunspot group AR 2087 also showed a dark meandering filament that twisted and turned over a few hours of observation…. it was all very exciting!
First image taken with a Canon 7D fitted with a camera adapter and 2x Barlow lens, using a Lunt LS80mm solar telescope, exposure time was 1/180th second and ISO 320. 12 images stacked in RegiStax6 and colour corrected in PS CS4…I’m still learning how to process these types of images :-)
Second Image taken with my Canon 7D and 100-400mm lens with a 2x converter, solar filter attached, exposure time 1/750th ISO 400, one single image.
