Details:
The small prominence on the lower edge of the sun in my picture completely blew off the surface just after this shot. 45 minutes later, it had pretty well dissipated with just a faint cloud floating above the surface.
Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.
The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
