Details:
I decided I would head north to Paradise, Michigan and Whitefish Point for a short vacation to and to try my luck at getting some aurora photos as some forecasts indicated a Kp3 level was possible. What I saw was a faint aurora (Kp 2 or 3) low on the horizon the colors were soft and defused due to the moon light and a haze or fog over Lake Superior. These photos were taken on the nights of 6/5/2014 and the next night 6/6/2014 . The 6/6 capture has a Great Lakes freighter and a meteor I also have one with the ISS I will post later. Sadly for me I came home yesterday 6/7/2014 because the weather was going to be cloudy and storms were forecast so I missed out on last night's fireworks. Canon 5D Mark III, Sigma 20mm f/1.8.

I have a question on my first photo is the glow above the horizon filling the sky airglow or aurora?
