Last 28 of may we captured this stunning picture that shows the effects of the unusual big proton flux from the Sun. We saw an strange glow and when we started to take the pictures.. surprise! This is not common on those latitudes so I guess than in northern places the show should be amazing during those last days of may. I have many more pictures here www.flickr.com/photos/josejimenezgarrido I also add a little picture with data from ACE ( Advanced Composition Explorer satellite) showing the clear relation between the proton flux and airglow.
