Details:
These images were taken over Little Saint Germain Lake in St. Germain, Wisconsin. They were taken with a Canon 6D, f/1.4 lens, and a 24mm lens. 20 second exposures, 3600 ISO. The first two images show the core of the milky way over the light polluted parking lot of Black Bear Lodge. I took it over the roof of my lodge from the balcony. I rose the tripod 6 feet tall off a 3-foot tall table and controlled it with my iPhone. The next image was taken over Little St. Germain Lake. It shows the water, treeline, the milky way, the Double Cluster, and the Andromeda Galaxy. The minor trails in the picture are caused by me walking on the dock and the dock shaking. There was surprisingly 0 wind on the lake- it was calm and all I could hear were frogs. The fourth and final image shows Cassiopeia through the clouds over the lake. A very bright -8 magnitude iridium flare can be seen soaring through the W.
