Details:
At 3:10am May 24th, I took a picture of something I can't figure out. Was watching the Camelopardalids and ever so often we would see quick, bright flashes of light. They didn't move. It was as if a star that wasn't visible became brightly visible all of a sudden. A few flashes was around -1 magnitude. We have seen this before on different occasions and figured it was just meteors. At around 3:10 I had my camera on a 15 second exposure, pointed in the direction of Cygnus. I noticed a bright flash. It got my attention more than the others because this seemed to say bright for a tad longer. It went out but about a fist width to the right and 5 seconds later, it flashed again but not as bright. It flashed a 3rd time about 2 seconds later but it had moved 90 degrees to the left where it flashed the 2nd time. I have no idea what it could have been. Lightning bugs were out at that time but they were high in the trees. What I saw was no lightning bug flashing. When I looked at the picture on my camera, I was shocked to see that this bright flash was 5 different objects close together. And the objects appeared to be stationary. There was no trail as if it was moving. There was no pixel issue. The pictures before and after didn't have these bright objects. The camera didn't move because it would show up with the stars. This just has me stumped. I posted 2 images. The one with the yellow box is the one I enhanced and zoomed in on the objects. The other is the original, untouched photo. What could it be?
