Details:
A great visual sight through a telescope. The brightness of the full Moon however presented problems with the unaided eye and also in capturing the image on camera. It was not possible to see the occultation without assistance of a telescope or binoculars. However by varying the camera exposure it was possible to obtain an acceptable image that could be processed subsequently to enhance Saturn against the glare of the Moon. Two images are provided. The first is the approach and the second as Saturn once again reappears behind the Moon.
Details: Canon EOS40D with a 2xCanon converter mounted on a Vixen FL102 telescope, 100ISO and exposures varied from 1/25th to 1/160th Sec.
Seeing onditions were clear and reasonably stable.
