Details:
The second of this years three Lunar/Saturn occultations occurred at a favourable time from Sydney (8:58pm - 10pm) but with a nearly full Moon, hence the contrast is very high. This image is an animation of 11 frames from a video, speed is 40x (1 frame every 10 seconds), I used photoshop to remove some drift, also boost the brightness and contrast of Saturn, and enhance the contrast in the Moon, animation done with GIMP. Telescope: Celestron 4GT Camera: Canon 5d mkii, eyepiece projection with 10mm eyepiece. The image has a natural orientation, the bottom of the frame is horizontal, the L/R flip has been corrected.
