The International Space Station transiting the Sun. May 6, 2014. Near the Kahala Hotel in Honolulu, HI. 16:56:33 pm. Total transit time about 1.3 seconds. The ISS was about 520 miles (843 km) away with a ground speed of about 18,600 mi/hr (30,000 km/hr). Coordinates for planning this observation and other stats obtained from CalSky.com. AR2056 was crackling at C-class flare levels at the time of the transit. The movie that was the basis for this composite image was shot at 7.5 fps. DMK51 on Coronado PST with H-alpha filter.
