Details:
This afternoon, during a strong rain falling, I saw a beautiful double rainbow. After the rain has stopped another double rainbow emerged from the clouds. Shortly after a dog appeared in the landscape. The primary rainbow is caused by a single reflection and a double refraction (in,out) of the sunlight in raindrops, while the secondary rainbow is caused by a double reflection. The result of the second reflection is that in the secondary rainbow the colors are inverted compared to the primary rainbow. Details: Nikon D3100, ISO 100, 1/100 s
