A beautifully composed image, the view from the dock is nothing short of ethereal. And just the touch of what appears to be a meteor above Four Mile Lake is somehow thrilling. Thank you.

PS The enlarged image of the dock has a wonderful softness about it, which is somehow lost in the more compressed file on this page.

fmichael Thank you for the kind comments and reviews of my aurora photos. I have to try very hard to find locations in southeast Michigan where the light pollution isnt too overwhelming. I had moved from Four Mile Lake due to the lights from the town to the NW of the lake. I was pleased to find the aurora active when I arrived at Portage Lake. I have a number of other captures at Portage Lake and from other locations in Michigan from the past two or three years on my website dniesenfoto.smugmug.com
