Details:
I took this picture of the 2014 “Blood Moon” on April 15th. The eclipse hit it’s peak at 3:46am E.S.T. resulting in a blood red moon. Prior to that at 1:58am E.S.T. the Lunar Moon partial eclipse began as a dark shadow began creeping across the surface. This image was taken with a Canon 5D Mark II attached to a Celestron CPC 800 Telescope. It was then merged together in Photoshop.
