Details:
The shots taken around 21:00 UTC show the 88% Illuminated waxing gibbous Moon over Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. A Sony DSC-HX300 camera was the only instrument used. The Moon is heading for the encounter with Earth`s umbra next tuesday. Assuming an aerosol-free stratosphere, which just seems to be the case currently, our correlation predicts that its brightness will be reduced by some 25 thousand times at mid-totality, with magnitude between -1.3 and -2.1 (2/3 chance).
