So this was the result of a 'weak impact': It was FA-BU-LOUS!!!!! In fact no words to be found to describe... never seen something like this before in the past 15 years of aurora watching. I was alone for 5 hours on the middle of a lake, while cars were passing on the road. It looked like if none of the drivers noticed what was happening above their head. Still one week to go, but if this was the last observation of season 2013-2014, than I will be very, very happy anyway! It was very difficult to choose, but here are 4 moments out of 5 hours watching.

Breathtaking, incredible!!! Then too, your corona is nothing short of a magnificent full-throated fire-bird.

Its amazing what the right set of eyes - at the right place - can pick up at the just the right time, under what would otherwise be regarded as unremarkable conditions. (Kp= 4 unsettled.) Congrats!
