Details:
Finally some rather good seeing moments for imaging Mars. The Red Planet has a lot of details to offer either in the images or at the eyepiece, and with the opposition getting closer everyday, the details are getting more easily discernible. The main areas, easily recognizable, are Syrtis Major, Hellas basin, and the North Polar Cap (NPC). The Hellas basin is shrouded in clouds, and there is also some cloud activity near the terminator, in the Elysium area. The NPC has an irregular shape. The western area of the disk has is brighter compared to the rest of the regions, perhaps due to clouds or dust.
