Details:
Sunspot Groups AR2002 and AR 2005 on the surface of the Sun this afternoon, 16th March 2014. Image taken with a Canon 7D and 100-400mm lens @ 400mm with a 2x converter, exposure was 1000th second, ISO 200 and one single image. Solar Prominence: While trying to take some images with our clubs Lund LS80 solar telescope, I saw this huge prominence that ejected out from the limb of the Sun…it was fascinating to watch as it waved about then broke away and faded, this is the first time I’ve ever seen this event through a telescope :-)
