Details:
The tower is 8 miles west of the observing site. Near the vernal equinox and autumnal equinox the sun sets over the tower… once as a harbinger of spring and once as the harbinger of fall. A green rim can be seen on the top of the sun. A whitelight filter was used so that the observing and imaging would be safe. The second picture is a series of images of the moonset over the tower last September.
