Details:
I imaged 1990 with my 40mm PST and a DMK 41 camera. Then I compared 1990 with its previous two appearances. From left to right are Sunspots 1944, 1967 and now 1990.

Think you accidentally posted the middle and right image twice, but different colorization?

OK, now I see all three images taken about a month apart. Think this was the set you wanted us to see and compare, not the three images of the current activity that came up first.

My observation is the bigger head spot of rotation is switched to a smaller head spot of rotation for each rotation. I hope there is the fourth time around of AR1944 to show the switches in at least 2cycles.
