Another great night in Abisko! Tonight was the second day of our final Aurora Photo Expedition of the season. Our group of nine guests enjoyed a nice, but weak display for the first several hours in the National Park. At around 10:30 the faint green band began to change and rapidly developed into a short but intense outburst of green and red auroras covering a large portion of the sky. After several minutes an impressive corona emerged and impressed all of us for a few more minutes. Ten minutes later the show was over. As you can imagine, all of our guests went back to the hotel with smiles on their faces and lots of photos to record their memories. Lets hope that the activity continues for the final weeks of the season! Shot with a Nikon D800 and a 24mm f1.4 lens.
