Details:
These auroras were very vivid and bright. Considering there was a bright waning gibbous moon, I can't even imagine how bright they would have been without the moon. I tentatively went inside and woke my wife up at 2:26 a.m. and when she came out to view the magnificent show, she thanked me! Images taken with a Canon 5D MKII, Canon 17-40mm lens and a Sigma 8mm fisheye lens.
