Some Aurora Borealis I captured on a flight from Toronto to Saskatoon. I made a time-lapse video (http://youtu.be/m9Qm_GIg4MA) although the aurora was particularly difficult to photograph due to a full moon that brightened the surrounding sky. This was exacerbated by the fact that the aurora was already quite dim. You can see many satellites track across the sky too! This is my first ever attempt at making a timelapse of aurora from a plane. Pictures were taken with a Nikon D7100 with a 35mm F1.8 lens and 6400 ISO for 2 seconds each. I thought I would share this to help brighten the spirits of those who were excited for the unfortunately cancelled geomagnetic storm warning.
