Details:
After a few weeks of Sunless sky, I could finally get a glimpse at the huge sunspot group AR1967 (once called 1944). At the eyepiece the view was fantastic, despite the low altitude of the Sun. It would be nice to hope at least that maybe this group will return in March under a different name (close to 1988:), but watching the evolution from different images I think this behemoth is gradually getting to a stop. But hopes are free, so we can wait and see. The following images were all acquired using a filtered 4.5" F/7 Refractor and Canon 550D or ASI120MM cameras, both with TeleVue Powermates (2x and 2.5x).
