Details:
Both M82 and SN2014J are extremely bright and therefore visible from central London. The companion galaxy M81 is quite a bit dimmer so harder to image. Taken with a Celestron 9.25 with Celestron 6.3 focal reducer, Canon 40D with IR mod, Astrononik CLS filter. ISO 800, 4 frames at 90 seconds. EQ5 mount, unguided. Stacked in MaxIm DL and then processed Photoshop Elements 11.
