"Illuminated Cathedral" - A surprise aurora hit us tonight, the night before the CME from 1967 is due. I figured I should try something different and went downtown in the city centre of Tromsø, northern Norway. The auroras was clearly visible even in the midle of the city full of lighpollution. There was at least one strong substorm with some wild lights right above our heads. This is one of the shots from tonight, featuring the Tromsø Cathedral with a massive aurora above. The shot is a composite of 3 exposures to preserve the dynamic range. Ole

Nice, beautiful and really something different! Well done, nice idea to head into the city instead of the darkness outside the city!
