Details:
This is the followup to my previous post. The supernova was just confirmed as PSN J12184868+1424435. This supernova is fairly brighter than any other star in the galaxy, and should be easy to spot as time goes on... I will have photometry results soon, so expect a new post when I have the results. These images were taken with the PROMPT-SSO2 telescope at the Siding Spring Observatory in Coonabarabran, Australia. The filters were iprime, gprime, and rprime at 100 seconds each.
