Details:
At about 10pm I nipped out for a final check for stars before bed ... at the end of a day of 100% cloud cover ... saw a few and after grabbing my kit was able to grab a few pix between clouds. Nice aurora; but sadly overwhelmed by sodium light pollution from Bolungarvik's street and harbour lights.
Canon 60d, Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 ISO1600 (5-8 secs ... shorter than needed, to keep the light pollution down to a minimum.)
