Like you Im a young astronomer too. Im 14 and have seen this before on a trip to Alaska to see the Northern Light. When I saw it I did some research and discover its a sundog. It occurs when ice crystals in the atmosphere reflect sunlight to make it look like there is a halo around the sun and that there are multiple subs in the sky. Keep up the good work Judah!
