Details:
At the time of the transit, the ISS was 69 miles above the earth and appeared to have an angular diameter of 28 arcseconds (according to the Calsky website). And so, the ISS, which is the size of a football field, at 69 miles away looks like it is 1/5th the size of the largest sunspot in AR 1944, which is 93 million miles away. In a word ... big.
