At local noon the two crescents were only 1 degree apart - but my sky was cloudy...Still there was a chance to catch them after sunset as the clouds parted and there were some gaps. The first pic I could take was 35 minutes before sunset, then the crescents were hidden by the clouds and became visible 10 minutes after sunset. Venus was stunning, beautiful and as I have a good eyesight I could see it being a crescent while the sky was bright. Later the planet was too bright to see its shape. Moon happened to be harder to observe, but as the sky darkened, it became more beautiful with the earthshine illuminating its shadowed parts too. It's a pity but it also dropped into the clouds soon. For some more days Venus would be still visible at the sunset sky then in mid January it would become a morning planet to meet the crescent Moon again on the dawn of 29th January.
