Details:
This is one of the most vivid lunar halos I have seen in a long time. There seems to be a smaller halo inside the 22 degree halo but I am not sure if this is a camera artifact. The lens is a Canon 17-40mm on a Canon 5D MKII DSLR set at 17mm, f/5.6, ISO 2000, 2.5 seconds exposure. I have also included a photo of the last full moon of 2013 rising through clouds taken with a Canon 7D, 400mm lens.
