Details:
This is a single exposure with a fast lens on a static tripod showing comet Lovejoy rising above the trees during the early morning hours in great clarity. Using the high res image and a detailed star char I measured the gas tail ar 10 degrees long, for those who don't know that's 20 apparent full moon diameters, very impressive indeed! Canon 450D. 50mm F/1.8 lens ISO1600
