I find it odd that I saw this in Florida! I've never seen anything like this before. A short time before I snapped the picture there were sundogs on either side as well. This picture was taken on Thanksgiving day by myself with a simple small Samsung camera.

Excellent photo. I just saw a similar halo, just one small V shape in the south western sky from southern Florida as the sun set. It dropped to the treeline without change. I had no idea what it was and wouldnt be convinced now if not for your photo. Thank you.
