Comet ISON imaged by SOHO LASCO C3 shows THREE tails!!! Now also a very faint and small Sodium tail seem to be present (see detail), while the ion tail is the biggest and the dust tail is clearly positioned along the orbit.

Very impressive, ideed. Why the sodium tail, seems splitting in the picture, will not go along with characteristic ion tail?. Am assuming tails ions are positive charged. Is my assumption correct or far fetched??
