Details:
Last night I set out to photograph Jupiters 6th brightest Moon, Himalia at mag. 14.94. It's orbit stretches far outside the 4 galilean moons making it somewhat difficult to locate but at least it is not drenched in Jupiters bright light. I took a first set of pictures a little before midnight and a second set 5 hours later. When comparing the 2, I could finally identify the tiny dot that had moved between the exposures. The stars are visible down to mag. 17.
