Details:
After five days of rain and snow -- and overcast skies -- this morning was clear offering, perhaps, a last chance for viewing Comet ISON before its plunge towards the sun. While waiting for it to rise, I shot a sequence of images on C/2013 R1 Lovejoy.
Details: ISO1600, 85mm@f/1.8, 20x4s, stacked with DSS.
Next is an image of the rising planets Mercury and Saturn. A close inspection shows what appears to be C/2012 S1 ISON faintly visible in the glare of the twilight.
Details: ISO1600, 85mm@f/2.8, 1s.
