Details:
Through 10x30 IS binoculars, I could see Comet ISON's tail rising several minutes before the bright head popped up over the horizon. The bright star Spica helped guide me to the comet's rising point. This is a 10-second exposure with a Nikon D700 DSLR camera, set at ISO 6400, and a 300mm Nikkor lens at F11, taken at 5:25am MST on 11/18/13 from Stagecoach, Colorado, USA.
