Details:
This is a high dynamic range (HDR) composite of 7 RAW exposures. No solar filter was used. I avoided looking the Sun through the viewfinder of the camera. I used the highest F/ number, lowest ISO, shortest exposure, and a polarized filter to minimize the Sun brightness and to capture it during the eclipse. Also the Sun was low on the horizon and there was some thin clouds that helped reduce the Sun's overall brightness. Camera: Sony A290 DSLR camera.
