Details:
This is a composite photograph of the partial annular eclipse that was visible at sunrise on November 3, 2012. The images were taken from my backyard on Sandy Flats road near Roseneath Ontario. The first image was taken with a Canon 60D camera using a 200 mm lens, f/8, 1/8000” exposure and ISO 100. This image shows the relationship of the sun relative to the ground and the bank of clouds on the horizon. Superimposed on this image is a close-up view of the sun showing surface details. It was taken through an 130mm f/6 telescope (800mm focal length) using a Canon 60Da, ISO 100, 1/1250” exposure and a Thousand Oaks ND4 filter.
