Details:
A big impressive hole formed saturday morning in the sky above Richterswil, Switzerland. Punch hole clouds (a.k.a., fallstreak holes) are a quite rare phenomenon, in which a large elliptical gap can appear in stratocumuli when ice crystals forms abruptly (domino effect) after the supercooled water in the cloud has been exposed to ice nucleation particles.
