At Cherry Springs Dark Sky Park at 6:02am the morning of October 9 after an all night imaging session with my 5" f7.5 triplet refractor, I pointed the scope at Comet ISON to see what I might capture. I took a single six-minute exposure at ISO 1600 for the image below. Was using a whole camera peltier cooler with a full spectrum modified camera and the EXIF temperature showed 28 degrees Fahrenheit. It was already pretty bright from dawn so I had to spend some time processing in photoshop. It would have been better if I began imaging earlier when it was darker and would have captured a few frames to stack.
